The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) is recruiting content designers and content experts to create and manage participant-facing Workforce Australia content. Roles focus on web and notification content across channels, including public and authenticated content, with opportunities to work from offices or remotely within Australia.

As part of a high-performing Participant Content Team, you will design, review and update Workforce Australia content, collaborate in an Agile

Qualifications

  • Experience writing, editing, and structuring complex content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management.
  • Ability to apply Australian Government style guides such as WCAG 2.1 and Digital Service Standards.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in an agile project environment.
  • Experience advising management and executives about content design.
  • Work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, planning and writing content that meets user needs and is easy to understand.
  • Implementing style guides, content patterns, content strategies and policies.
  • Developing relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Using evidence, data and research to improve content and user experience.
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams in an agile project environment, and using Azure DevOps to manage work.
  • Participating in workshops and planning events to develop requirements and features.
  • Preparing documents, presentations and talking points.
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Providing support to content leads, channel leads, director and mentoring less experienced staff.
