Job summary

Bendigo Bank is seeking a Consumer Lending Strategy & Enablement Manager to shape the future of lending decisions and improve the customer journey across Retail, Broker and Digital channels. You will influence cross-functional teams to drive a unified lending strategy and implement data-driven initiatives that enhance performance and efficiency.

You’ll partner with Risk, Policy, and Commercial teams to modernise guidelines while guiding go-to-market strategies and pricing.

Qualifications

Consumer lending experience across Retail, Broker, and Digital.
Track record in strategy development or product enablement within banking or financial services.
Experience simplifying processes and optimizing credit frameworks.
Strong ability to interpret data and translate insights into executive narratives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for diverse teams.
Post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Shape & execute lending strategy to translate objectives into actionable plans.
Drive commercial performance across acquisition, conversion and retention.
Simplify processes across the value chain to reduce friction for customers, lenders and brokers.
Improve right-first-time submission quality and reduce rework in Retail & Third-Party channels.
Collaborate with Credit Risk and Policy teams to modernise guidelines balancing risk and commercial outcomes.
Develop detailed business cases using market and internal data for lending platform improvements.
Monitor emerging risks in lending lifecycle and propose mitigations.
