Job summary

WesTrac in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking a Technology Application Specialist to join our Construction Industry Product and After Market Team on a permanent full-time basis. You will be the subject matter expert for Caterpillar construction technologies, deploying and validating solutions at customer sites to maximise machine efficiency and productivity.

You'll deliver training, support change management, and provide strategic recommendations that drive technology adoption and business

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of construction technologies including Grade Control, 2D/3D machine guidance, E-Fence, and productivity tools.
• Ability to diagnose issues, integrate machine technology solutions, and support networking and onboard systems.
• Formal trade qualification in mechanical or electrical or equivalent machine guidance control technician.
• Ability to educate operators and drive technology adoption.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technology SME Support for Caterpillar construction technologies to customers and internal teams.
• Deploy and commission technology solutions, configuring and validating systems before delivery.
• Drive customer adoption through training and expert application support.
• Lead field trials, validate performance, and support operational change.
• Deliver connectivity and productivity consulting to improve fleet performance.
• Support product strategy and identify opportunities to grow technology sales and service agreements.
