Job summary

About the role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Construction Supervisor is accountable for the successful delivery of appointed projects across Bendigo, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget, while meeting or exceeding Creation Homes' standards for quality, program, Health & Safety and environmental performance.

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for driving construction progress and achieving the earliest practical completion timeframes without compromising quality or safety. The role requires the development and maintenance of strong working relationships with key supply partners, trades, developers and other external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, timely decision-making and successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and delivery of allocated residential construction projects.

Plan and monitor construction activities to achieve agreed program, budget, quality and completion targets.

Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers and site activities to ensure projects progress efficiently and safely.

Ensure construction works are completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, building codes, relevant standards and Creation Homes' requirements.

Monitor project progress and proactively address issues that may impact programme, cost, quality or completion.

Manage site HSE requirements and ensure sites remain safe, compliant and well organised.

Maintain accurate project records, site reports, inspections and progress updates.

Work closely with the Construction Manager, Project Managers and broader Construction team to achieve project objectives.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with developers, consultants, trades, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Communicate project progress, risks and key issues clearly and in a timely manner.

About you

Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor, Site Manager or similar role within residential construction.

Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, sequencing and building standards.

Proven leadership skills and the ability to build strong relationships with trades, suppliers and project stakeholders.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they impact project outcomes.

Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality.

Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.

A strong understanding of HSE requirements and a commitment to maintaining safe and well-organised sites.

A professional, accountable and positive approach, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.

A current Australian driver's licence and relevant construction qualifications/licences.
