Job summary

MJM Recruit partners with a long-established family-owned builder seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its Queensland division. You will own day-to-day site operations, lead from the front, coordinate subcontractors and drive safety, quality, and programme delivery across commercial and industrial projects valued $5M–$30M.

Reporting to Senior PM and Director, you will read drawings, manage risks, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure on-time handover with a strong safety

Qualifications

• Proven Site Manager experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Strong track record delivering projects valued between $5M and $30M.
• Excellent subcontractor coordination and programme management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing all day-to-day site operations from establishment to handover.
• Leading subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Driving the construction programme and coordinating daily works.
• Preparing short-term programmes and forward planning labour, materials and deliveries.
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox meetings and safety inspections.
• Ensuring WHS, quality and environmental requirements are maintained.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Coordinating consultants, inspections and required approvals.
• Monitoring workmanship, progress and subcontractor performance.
• Identifying risks, resolving site issues and preventing delays.
• Maintaining accurate site diaries, records and documentation.
• Managing defects, completion works and project handover.
• Liaising closely with Project Managers, clients and key stakeholders.

Known for delivering quality projects and building lasting client relationships, the business is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its growing Queensland division.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Director, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

You will be trusted to lead your site, make decisions and resolve issues without being micromanaged. Projects typically range from $5M–$30M across the commercial and industrial sectors.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Managing all day-to-day site operations from establishment to handover

Leading subcontractors, trades and site personnel

Driving the construction programme and coordinating daily works

High integrity, accountability and pride in the quality of your work

Relevant trade or construction qualifications highly regarded

Experience using Procore or BuildPass highly regarded

Local Queensland market knowledge advantageous
