Job summary

Gramerci, a Brisbane-based specialist commercial joint sealing contractor, seeks an experienced Project Manager to take operational ownership of the active and upcoming project portfolio. You will lead two Field Service Supervisors, bridge the gap between the Directors and field teams, and ensure on-time delivery with quality and financial discipline.

You will own end-to-end project delivery from award through to close-out, manage labour planning, variations and reporting, and foster strong

• Experience leading supervisors, site teams or operational staff.
• Strong programme, planning and organisational capability.
• Solid commercial awareness of scope, variations and productivity impact.
• Driver's licence and Construction White Card.

This specialist commercial joint sealing contractor is known across Brisbane for technical expertise, practical delivery and accountable outcomes, working directly with builders and construction project teams from hardstand through to final finish with no shortcuts and no subcontractors. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take operational ownership of the active and upcoming project portfolio and become the critical management layer between the Directors and the field team.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine career step for a commercial construction professional who wants ownership of a real portfolio rather than a single project. You will take full operational responsibility for projects from award through to completion and close-out, leading two Field Service Supervisors and acting as the conduit between site reality and business decisions. You will work closely with senior client Project Managers, Contract Administrators and Site Managers, keep the forward programme and labour planning tight, and make sure variations, productivity and quality issues are visible and actioned rather than absorbed.

Key Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end operational ownership of a portfolio of concurrent commercial projects, from award through to completion and close-out
• Own the forward project programme and plan labour and resources against site readiness, priorities and team capability
• Lead, develop and hold two Field Service Supervisors accountable for their projects, teams and responsibilities
• Maintain a regular, visible presence across larger and more complex commercial projects
• Build strong working relationships with client Project Managers, Contract Administrators and Site Managers
• Coordinate project mobilisation, staging, access, SWMS, inductions and materials across multiple live sites
• Identify, capture and communicate variations and scope changes so they are tracked rather than absorbed
• Keep Finance informed on project status, completed stages, outstanding works and WIP for accurate billing and reporting
• Maintain accurate project information across CRM, shared drives and other operational systems
• Oversee quality, safety and compliance through the Field Service Supervisors, and ensure defects and callbacks are tracked to resolution
• Manage project close-out, ensuring outstanding works, documentation and final requirements are completed on time
• Support the training and capability development of Field Service Supervisors and Applicators
• Raise risks, problems and delays early, with enough information for the business to act

About You

• Demonstrated commercial construction project management experience, ideally across multiple concurrent projects or subcontract packages, could be residential or commercial projects
• Experience leading supervisors, site teams or operational staff
• Strong programme, planning and organisational capability, with the ability to work ahead of problems rather than reacting to them
• Solid commercial awareness - you understand how scope, variations, productivity and project performance affect the bottom line
• Confidence working directly with builders, client Project Managers, Contract Administrators and site teams
• A problem-solving mindset - you bring issues forward with information and options, not just problems
• Comfortable using CRM and project management systems, with a genuine interest in improving how information and workflow are managed
• Honest and proactive communication style, with a track record of taking ownership and following through
• Current Driver's Licence and Construction White Card
