Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure plans and specifications are followed.
• Maintain project quality assurance and contractual documentation.
• Provide guidance to project team on building construction matters; liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate between project managers, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

The Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for a Project Engineer to join our team. You will be based on-site working between our various project sites in the NQ region.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager, your key responsibilities include:

• Provide construciton and administrative assistance for daily on-site operations for large commercial construction projects, ensuring that work is executed efficiently, safely and in accordance with drawings and specifications;
• Oversea the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards;
• Conducting regular site inspections to ensure adherence to plans and specifications;
• Establishment and maintenance of the project quality assurance and contractual documentation;
• Providing guidance and support to project team members on building construction matters; and
• Liaising between project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the below;

• Relevant practical experience in delivering commercial construction projects between $50M - $100M;
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management;
• Advanced level knowledge of the application of WHS regulations and practices as relevant to construction sites;
• An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
• High level knowledge of construction of process and common challenges;
• An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
• Highly developed organisational, time management and prioritising skills; and
• Highly developed emotional intelligence.
