Job summary

Worksforyou Australia is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead major construction projects from planning through to completion, delivering on time, within budget and to the highest safety, quality and environmental standards. You will drive planning, subcontractor management and regular reporting to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Director of Operations & Construction, you will coordinate site delivery with Site Managers, Safety & Quality Officers, consultants and subcontractors; run

Qualifications

• Statement of required tertiary qualification in Building and Construction.
• Minimum 5–8 years' experience in project management for construction.
• Formal training in construction and strong leadership abilities.
• Experience using MS Office, document management and financial systems.
• Excellent organisational, project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage external consultants and subcontractors with assertive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project performance against budget and objectives.
• Maintain quality control, safety and environmental procedures.
• Embed the Project Management Plan across the project.
• Define, authorise and assign project roles and authorities.
• Ensure adequate resources to meet contract commitments.
• Conduct site safety walks and manage safety issues.
• Oversee subcontractor management and PMP compliance.
• Support site managers and teams to deliver packages of works.
• Review performance across financial, programme, safety and client satisfaction.
• Procure trades and materials per project programme.
• Run regular site meetings with designers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Train and mentor junior staff to support career progression.
