Job summary

Built is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate the technical and engineering aspects of delivery across high-profile projects in Australia. You will work with Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers and subcontractors to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes while maintaining safe practices on site.

The role demands a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 3+ years of experience, strong buildability knowledge, and proficiency with Aconex/MS Project/Primavera.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience delivering commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, buildability and quality assurance processes.
• Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors and site teams across multiple work fronts.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to procurement, contract administration and cost control processes.
• Experience using project management and construction platforms such as Aconex, MS Project or Primavera.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating RFIs, shop drawings, ITPs, technical submissions and engineering documentation.
• Driving collaboration between consultants, subcontractors and site teams to resolve design and construction challenges.
• Supporting procurement activities and ensuring critical materials and subcontractor packages are delivered in line with project requirements.
• Monitoring quality, compliance and safety outcomes through inspections, testing, reporting and proactive risk management.
• Supporting and mentoring Site Engineers, Graduates and Cadets while contributing to a positive team culture.
