Job summary

Public Sector People in Sydney is seeking a Project Manager – Capital Works to lead a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. You will oversee design, procurement, contract administration, and delivery across buildings, public spaces, roads, and parks.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, compliance with legislation and Council frameworks, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, or related field.
• Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects through design and construction phases.
• End-to-end project delivery experience, including construction management.
• Strong procurement and contract administration experience.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
• Manage full project lifecycle including design management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Engage stakeholders, provide regular reporting, and ensure compliance with legislation and Council frameworks.
