Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a hands-on Team Leader to deliver essential water and wastewater projects across the Rockhampton region. You will lead a crew on-site, ensuring quality work, safety and timely completion.

Experience in plumbing, drainage, pipelaying or civil construction is valued. A trade qualification is desirable but not essential. Role includes an on-site, hands-on leadership approach with a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and quality on site while guiding crew through tasks.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and schedule activities to meet deadlines.
• Support ongoing training and development for crew members.

Job description

• Potential earnings up to $125,000 per annum, including on-call participation and overtime opportunities (actual earnings will vary based on availability and hours worked).
• LGIA Stream C BT Level 2/3 (Licenced Plumber/Drainer) + Site + Tool + Leading Hand Allowance 3 - $94,988 - $97,522
• LGIA Stream B (Construction Experience) Level 6 + Site + Leading Hand Allowance 2 - $88,203
• Permanent / Full Time
• Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight

Your new role

Fitzroy River Water is looking for a practical, hands‑on Team Leader to help deliver essential water and wastewater projects across the Rockhampton region.

If you have experience in plumbing, drainage, pipelaying or civil construction and enjoy leading a crew to get the job done safely and well - we’d like to hear from you. A trade qualification is desirable, but not essential.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
