Job summary

Cotter Floors is seeking a Construction Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator to manage our warehouse operations and deliver materials to commercial construction projects across Melbourne. This hands-on role combines warehouse management, truck driving, logistics coordination and site deliveries.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers and subcontractors to ensure materials arrive where they’re needed, when they’re needed.

Qualifications

• MR licence required or equivalent
• Forklift licence required
• White Card required
• Working With Children Check beneficial

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations
• Receive and organise incoming materials
• Deliver flooring materials to sites across Melbourne
• Manual Handling and loading/unloading
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles

Cotter Floors has been operating since 1955 and is one of Victoria's longest‑established commercial flooring contractors.

We deliver projects across healthcare, education, aged care, offices and commercial construction throughout Melbourne. Our team of project managers, estimators and support staff work alongside a large network of experienced flooring installers to deliver quality outcomes for our clients.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Managing day‑to‑day warehouse operations
• Receiving and organising incoming materials
• Delivering flooring materials and equipment to sites across Melbourne
• Manual Handling
• Loading and unloading trucks and vans
• Maintaining tools, equipment and company vehicles
• Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised
• Assisting with stock control and inventory management
• Liaising with builders, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
• Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse and logistics processes

This is a largely self‑managed role and would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership and working independently.

Skills & Experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Medium Rigid licence
• Forklift licence
• White Card
• Working With Children Check

Preferred experience:

• Warehouse, logistics or transport experience
• Construction industry experience
• Delivering materials to building sites
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication skills
• Safe work practices and attention to detail
