Job summary

Next Level Consulting Solutions seeks a switched-on Yard Supervisor / Yard Coordinator to own a busy yard in Melbourne's western suburbs. This permanent, full-time role Monday–Friday requires hands-on leadership, stock movement coordination and safe, efficient operations on the ground.

You'll manage daily yard activities, troubleshoot on-site issues and work closely with warehouse and fleet teams to keep things moving.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a yard/warehouse/transport/logistics environment.
• Ability to coordinate stock, jobs and daily yard activities.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Allocating stock and ensuring the right equipment is in the right place.
• Maintaining safe, organised and efficient yard stacks.
• Coordinating incoming and outgoing jobs.
• Directing traffic through a busy, high-volume yard.
• Coordinating daily yard activities and keeping jobs moving.
• Physically assisting with yard duties, cleaning and preparing containers.
• Inspecting stock and ensuring equipment is presented to a high standard.
• Using a two-way radio to communicate with drivers and team members.
• Maintaining accurate computer records and stock allocations.
• Processing job movements and keeping information up to date.
• Working closely with Warehouse, Fleet and Operations teams.
• Stepping into fleet duties when required to cover absences.
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and yard presentation.
• Identifying problems early and taking action to resolve them.
• Ensuring all activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Job description

We are looking for a switched-on, hands-on Yard Supervisor / Yard Coordinator to take ownership of a busy yard in Melbourne's western suburbs.

This is a permanent, full-time Monday-Friday position for someone who knows how to keep a busy yard organised, safe & productive.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the yard, managing stock movements, coordinating incoming & outgoing jobs, maintaining organised yard stacks & keeping traffic moving safely.

This isn't a desk job. You'll be on the ground, working with the team, solving problems & getting stuck in when required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proficient & switched on, with the ability to quickly understand the operation & take ownership.

You'll Ideally Have

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, transport, logistics or similar environment
• Experience coordinating stock, jobs, equipment or daily yard activities
• Strong organisational & time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good computer skills & confidence learning new systems
• Experience working in a busy, high-traffic environment
• Confidence communicating over a two-way radio
• A strong safety-first mindset
• The ability to manage multiple incoming & outgoing jobs
• A practical, hands-on approach
• The confidence to direct traffic & coordinate people around the yard
• The initiative to identify what needs doing & get it done
• The ability to step up & take responsibility when required

A current Forklift Licence is preferred.
