Job summary

Thomas Hardy Pty Ltd, a leading construction company, is seeking a Financial Accountant for a 3-month contract based in Wetherill Park, NSW. You will provide accounting services to support our construction business, with a focus on accuracy and timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has CA/CPA qualifications, around 10 years of accounting experience, and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10 years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience in construction and property sectors is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• CA or CPA qualification is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work effectively with management and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Month end closure and accounts payable/receivable.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper recording of transactions.
• Prepare monthly accounts and cashflow statements.
• Prepare invoices and BAS statements for external review.
• Process payroll and superannuation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Attend to ad hoc finance and administration matters.
