Job summary

Network Construction Services in Sydney is seeking an experienced bookkeeper/accounts officer to manage day-to-day financials across residential remedial and commercial construction projects. You will own the books, work with management and our external accountant to keep records accurate and payments moving.

The role requires hands-on experience with Xero, payroll, reconciliations and BAS preparation, with a focus on construction progress claims, variations and project costing.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping or accounts experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and BAS preparation.
• Experience with project costing in construction is highly regarded.
• Excellent attention to detail and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit construction progress claims with project team.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, and debtor reporting.
• Handle accounts payable, supplier invoices, and PO checks.
• Process payroll and maintain superannuation/leave records.
• Prepare BAS information and liaise with the external accountant.
• Track retention payments and allocate project costs.
• Produce monthly P&L, cash flow and project cost reports.
