Job summary

Custom Concept Roofing is seeking a bookkeeper to manage our end-to-end accounts payable and receivable for a busy roofing operations team. You will handle payroll, onboarding, and accurate job costing to keep projects on track.

Based in Queensland, this role covers bank reconciliations, BAS support, and maintaining contracts and site docs to ensure smooth, day-to-day office running. You will work closely with the owner to keep jobs moving forward.

Qualifications

Job description

This role reports to the owner. You own the books and the office so jobs, crews and clients don't stall.

Key responsibilities

• Run AP and AR end to end — supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, client invoicing and collections
• Process payroll for staff and subcontractors, including timesheets, super and onboarding
• Keep job costing accurate against live roofing projects
• Reconcile banks and cards; prepare BAS support and monthly figures for the external accountant
• Maintain contracts, variations, compliance docs and job files so nothing gets lost
• Handle the day-to-day office work that keeps the business running — follow-ups, suppliers, paperwork — without being chased

About you

• Bookkeeping experience inside construction, roofing or trades — essential
• Confident with GST, BAS, payroll, subcontractors and job costing
• Accurate, organised, and used to a site-driven business
• Someone who finishes the job
