• Experience with project-based billing and construction/engineering industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide billing and administrative support to Construction, Project Management, and operational teams.
• Ensure construction billing is processed accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Sales to interpret contract requirements and generate customer invoices.
• Partner with Accounts Receivable to resolve billing disputes, process adjustments, and clarify customer claims and invoice queries.
• Coordinate the issuance, maintenance, and reconciliation of bank guarantees and security instruments.
• Review monthly billing activities to maximise revenue recognition and minimise billing slippage.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting across construction projects.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Construction, Project Management, and Finance.
• Support ad hoc billing, reporting, and administrative activities as required.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Construction Billing Officer to join our team on a 12 months fixed term contract role based in Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing activities throughout the construction project lifecycle, including New Equipment (NE), Building Existing (BEX), Modernisation (Mod), contract variations, and billing adjustments. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, maintaining security guarantees for construction projects, and supporting project teams to drive strong financial outcomes and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-4 years' experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance function, ideally within a large corporate or project-based environment.
• Understanding of project billing processes and how revenue transactions impact business performance.
• Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality outcomes.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience working within the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or services industry will be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of Otis products, services, and business operations would be advantageous.
