Job summary

Harwell Consulting is seeking an experienced payroll professional on the Gold Coast to manage end-to-end payroll within a small team. You will handle invoices, supplier reconciliations and support the monthly close, with mentor guidance from the finance lead.

The role offers hybrid work one day from home and flexible hours, within a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment focused on Tier-one client service and rapid learning.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience, ideally in construction or under an EBA with allowances and penalty rates.
• Familiar with invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and month-end tasks without supervision.
• Happy to work in a small team where the role will flex and develop rather than stay fixed in a narrow lane.

Fifty employees, tier-one clients, and a CFO who will teach you the full close.

This construction contractor services top Tier 1 builders. The finance team is three people, so you will learn quickly and see the whole picture rather than one narrow slice.

The culture is direct and construction-standard, the MD moves fast, no two days are the same and you will occasionally need to jump outside of your scope to help the business win.

Salary: Up to $90k+Super
