Job summary

The Queensland Government is seeking a WOO4 Ranger to support the Ranger in Charge in supervising staff and coordinating the weekly work program across Queensland Parks and Wildlife protected area estates, with a key focus on Kroombit Tops National Park. Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply a strong knowledge of natural resource management, nature-based recreation and related issues.

• Undertake general estate management duties.
• Operate and maintain minor plant, equipment and fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of staff and coordinate the planning and delivery of weekly work programs.
• Coordinate planning and delivery of weekly work programs across Queensland Parks and Wildlife protected area estates.
• Support Kroombit Tops National Park management with pest, weed and fire programs.
• Promote and share our parks with visitors and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety and compliance across operations.
• Operate and maintain minor plant, equipment and fleet vehicles.
