Job summary

Komform Pty Ltd is seeking experienced concreters to join our team on a casual basis in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. You will work hands-on in the construction and finishing of concrete drains and batter protection, delivering quality workmanship that meets project specifications.

Key responsibilities include preparing surfaces, pouring, leveling and finishing concrete, operating machinery, reading plans, and maintaining safety protocols on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Concreter in the building trades.
• Knowledge of pouring and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concrete surfaces and site areas for placement.

Komform Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Concreters to join our team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on role within the building trades sector, based in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. As a Concreter, you will play a vital role in the construction and finishing of concrete drains and batter protection, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality concrete works that form the foundation of our building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing concrete surfaces and site areas for concrete placement
• Pouring concrete in accordance with specifications and safety standards
• Levelling, smoothing and finishing concrete surfaces to the required standard
• Operating concrete machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and technical drawings
• Installing formwork and temporary structures to support concrete placement
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and other team members on site
• Adhering to site safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Concreter in the building trades industry
• Knowledge of concrete pouring and finishing techniques
• Competency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Familiarity with relevant safety standards and building codes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability and punctuality, particularly important for casual work arrangements
• Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications such as White Card or equivalent health and safety training
• Experience with concrete finishing methods such as trowelling, broom finishing or decorative finishes is desirable
