Job summary

JAC Civil is hiring a Concreter for Maryborough, Fraser Coast QLD. Join a family‑owned civil contractor delivering local projects with a strong safety culture and team support.

The role offers flexible arrangements, including full‑time or casual work, and a pathway to long‑term local employment on diverse concrete structures. As part of the team, you will construct concrete elements, read plans, and ensure work meets design specs while maintaining productivity and quality across site conditions.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Concreting or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Proven ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Construct civil concrete structures including formwork, kerb and channel, slabs, footpaths, headwalls, and aprons.
• Build to design levels and job specifications.
• Forecast, plan, and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret plans and drawings to deliver quality outcomes.
• Work safely and contribute to JAC Civil’s safety culture.

JAC Civil is seeking an experienced Concreter with a strong background in civil construction and structural concreting for a permanent, full-time or casual role. About the Role

As our Concreter, you will:

Construct civil concrete structures including formwork, kerb and channel, slabs, footpaths, headwalls, and aprons

Build to design levels and job specifications

Read and interpret plans and drawings to deliver quality outcomes

Operate plant and equipment as needed (holding internal competencies)

Forecast, plan, and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision

Use company tablets for online dockets, timesheets and daily diaries

Work safely and contribute to JACC’s strong safety culture

Mentor others, share experience and support the onsite team

Key Requirements

Certificate III in Concreting or equivalent experience

Minimum 3 years concreting or leading hand experience (civil construction experience preferred)

Proven ability to work independently and in teams

Sound knowledge of formwork and finishing techniques

Ability to meet project targets and production goals

Current QLD driver’s licence (HR not required but advantageous)

Construction White Card or willing to obtain

Physically fit and able to work across various site conditions
