Browns Concreting in Woodend, VIC is seeking a skilled Concreter for a full-time role. You will prepare sites, pour and finish concrete, and repair surfaces across residential and commercial projects.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years’ experience, understand formwork and concrete specs, and can read plans. A valid driver’s license, White Card, and First Aid (desirable) support success in this role.

Job description

Browns Concreting is seeking a skilled and dedicated Concreter to join our team on a full-time basis in Woodend, VIC. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, pouring, finishing and repairing concrete surfaces across a variety of residential and commercial projects. This is a hands‑on position that plays a critical part in delivering high‑quality concrete work that meets our clients' specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic finish of projects from inception through completion.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and setting up work sites.
• Screeding and finishing concrete both by hand and with trowel machines
• Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and measurements to ensure accuracy on site
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and site‑specific safety requirements

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working as a concreter in the building trades industry, ideally with at least 2–3 years of hands‑on experience
• Sound knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, formwork setup and concrete specifications
• Competency in reading and interpreting construction plans
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual work
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and compliance with specifications
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites within the local area
• Current First Aid certification (desirable but not essential)
• White Card or equivalent construction safety induction (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to client interactions
