Job summary

SEQ Construction is seeking a skilled Concreter or Concrete Labourer to join our on-site team, delivering concrete work from formwork through to finishing and ensuring high quality standards across projects.

This is a 5-month full-time contract, Monday to Friday, with potential for ongoing opportunities based on performance. You will work safely, read plans, and contribute to timely delivery at regional sites around SEQ.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as concreter or concrete labourer.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
• White Card and valid driver’s license required.
• Physically fit for on-site manual labour.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
• Strong teamwork and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are a leading SEQ Construction company and are seeking a skilled and dedicatedConcreter's and Laborer'sto join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality concrete work, from preparation through to finishing, contributing directly to the success of our project.

This role is a 5 month full time contract working Monday-Friday. This may also lead to other positions within the company pending performance targets are met.

Duties of the role:

• 1. Assist with formwork installation, stripping and structural preparation
• 2. Pouring, and finishing concrete to specified standards and designs
• 3. Maintaining and cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure ongoing productivity and safety
• 4. Following detailed instructions and working collaboratively with other team members to meet project deadlines
• 5. Adhering to all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies

The successful candidate will have the following skills/ attributes:

• 1. Proven experience as a concreter or concrete labourer, preferably within the building trades or construction industry,
• 2. Strong understanding of concrete finishing,
• 3. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and site instructions,
• 4. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour onsite,
• 5. A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to regional area,
• 6. White Card (required)
• 7. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• 8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• 9. A safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of relevant workplace health and safety standards
