Job summary

Southern Premix is hiring a Concrete Batcher/Batching Plant Operator to join our production team at the Woonona facility. This full-time role involves operating and maintaining our batching plant equipment to meet customer specifications and industry standards.

You will schedule agitator trucks, monitor materials, liaise with drivers and customers, and uphold strict safety and quality controls as part of a reliable production schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in concrete batching or related industry; training may be provided.
• Comfortable with batching software and computers.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Safety-focused and punctual with good attendance.
• Forklift licence and/or front-end loader ticket is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate the batching plant and computerized batching system.
• Schedule and dispatch agitator trucks.
• Monitor material levels and ensure supplies of cement, aggregates, water and Additives.
• Liaise with drivers and customers to coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain a safe, clean plant and comply with health and safety regulations.

Concrete Batcher/Batching Plant Operator

Southern Premix is seeking a Concrete Batcher/Batching Plant Operator to join our production team at our Woonona facility. This is a full-time position based in Woonona, NSW 2517. As a crucial member of our operations, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our batching plant equipment to produce high-quality concrete products that meet our customers' specifications and industry standards. This role is essential to our production schedule and directly impacts our ability to deliver reliable concrete solutions to our valued clients.

Key responsibilities

• Operating the plant and computerised batching system.
• Scheduling and dispatching agitator trucks.
• Monitor material levels and ensure adequate supplies of cement, aggregates, water and additives are available for continuous production.
• Liaise with drivers and customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe plant and adhering to all health and safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in concrete batching or the concrete/quarry industry (highly regarded but not essential - we will train the right person).
• Comfortable with computers and batching software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Safety-focused, punctual and happy with early starts.
• Forklift licence and/or front-end loader ticket an advantage.
