Job summary

AIM Defence is seeking a highly motivated Computer Vision Engineer to join its Melbourne facility. You will develop software for precision detection and tracking, working extensively with CUDA on DSP, neural networks, and classic machine vision tasks.

You will write and debug software for embedded and GPU-based applications, contribute to architecture discussions, and mentor teammates while delivering milestones in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, CS, or science.
• 4+ years experience with C++ and CUDA for vision/software.
• Experience on GPU and embedded platforms preferred.
• Python is a bonus but not required.
• Familiarity with source control and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for precision detection and tracking systems.
• Work heavily in CUDA on DSP, neural networks, and classic machine vision applications.
• Write, modify and debug software for embedded and GPU-based applications.
• Provide input to architecture discussions and lead technical efforts.
• Document research and metrics-based outcomes for improvement.
• Ensure work meets schedule and delivers software.
