Job summary

AIM Defence in Melbourne is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join the Engineering and R&D team. You will develop software and control systems for precision tracking and mechanical systems, primarily using C++ and CUDA, across embedded and local compute platforms.

The role requires deep control theory knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced defence environment with security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in engineering, CS, or related field.
• Strong understanding of control theory and intelligent control systems.
• Experience with CUDA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and control systems for precision tracking and mechanical systems.
• Write, modify and debug software for embedded and local compute based applications.
• Provide input to architecture discussions and mentoring to teammates.
• Document research and metrics-based outcomes for improvement and exploration.
• Ensure work meets schedule and delivers software.
