Job summary

Praetorian Aeronautics in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to own detection, classification and tracking within our terminal guidance systems, refining performance and reliability while integrating into simulations and physical platforms.

You will provide technical leadership to two engineers, help grow the team, and collaborate with software, autonomy and hardware colleagues to deliver robust perception capabilities under real-world conditions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in computer vision, perception or robotics.
• Proficiency in Python and CV/ML frameworks.
• Experience deploying perception on physical robotic systems, not just lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the detection, classification and tracking modules end-to-end.
• Lead their integration into the wider guidance system.
• Guide and coordinate the engineers working across this area.
• Improve testing, evaluation and data-management practices.
• Diagnose, resolve and deploy fixes within tight testing timelines.
• Collaborate with software, autonomy and hardware engineers.
