Job summary

Alt.vfx in Brisbane is seeking talented Compositors to join our team. This Brisbane-based opportunity may extend to remote artists already residing in Queensland, enabling flexible collaboration across the studio and home setups.

You will perform all compositing tasks, including 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering, and colour grading, while maintaining look and colour balance across sequences. You will work with artists from other disciplines and deliver under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Nuke.
• Excellent eye for photo-realism and colour
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong sense of composition, colour and design
• Solid compositing experience in a feature film or commercial production environment

Responsibilities

• Performing all tasks associated with the compositing process, including 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, and colour grading on difficult shots.
• Maintain the overall look, colour balance, and quality for assigned shots and sequences to create uniformity in all finished work.
• Work collaboratively with artists from other disciplines.
• Independently provide solutions to technical and aesthetic problems, with minimal direction, and can handle the most difficult tasks under intense time pressure.

This current opprtunity is for our Brisbane studio, but we will also consider remote artists already residing in Queensland.

You will need

A strong knowledge of Nuke.

Strong aesthetic skills in judging photo-realism and colour.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work gracefully under pressure to meet deadlines, and with minimal supervision.

Strong sense of composition, colour and design.

Solid compositing experience in a feature film or commercial production environment.

Your day will consist of
