Job summary

Rising Sun Pictures in Australia is seeking mid and senior Compositors to join our Brisbane or Adelaide studios on 6- to 12-month contracts. You will create seamless composites for live-action feature films, build production-ready Nuke scripts, and collaborate across departments to meet brief and schedule.

The role requires high-end compositing experience, strong Nuke expertise, a good eye for color and detail, and a solid understanding of VFX pipelines.

We currently have several Compositor positions open with our crew at Mid and Senior levels! Working within our Compositing team, you’ll create high-quality, multi-layered composites for live-action feature films.

We have a variety of contract lengths available (6-12 months) starting as early as September 2026. These roles are to be based in either our Adelaide or Brisbane studios.

Key Responsibilities

• Create seamless composites combining live action, FX, environments, and matte painting
• Build efficient, production-ready Nuke scripts within the pipeline
• Collaborate across departments to deliver shots on brief and on schedule
• Maintain high visual quality, continuity, and attention to detail
• Adapt quickly to feedback and evolving briefs

Skills and Experience

• Experience in high-end live-action compositing (level-dependent)
• Strong Nuke expertise and understanding of compositing fundamentals
• Good eye for colour, light, realism, and detail
• Solid understanding of VFX pipelines and workflows
