Hart Marine is seeking an experienced Composite Fiberglass Laminator in Somerville to help build large fiberglass Pilot and Police Vessels at Yaringa Boat Harbour. You will perform hand layup, vacuum bagging, read drawings, and ensure high-quality laminates.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand layup and vacuum bagging of fiberglass, resin, and core materials to fabricate boat hulls, decks, and components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and laminate schedules.
• Prepare and mix resins, gel coats, and other composite materials to the correct ratios and specifications.
• Cut, fit, and laminate fiberglass cloth, mat, and core materials to achieve required strength and finish.
• Operate machinery and hand tools for cutting, grinding, and finishing composite surfaces.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure laminates meet our high standards and specifications.
• Identify and repair any imperfections or defects in laminated components.
• Collaborate with our engineering and design teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including correct handling and storage of resins and chemicals.

Duties include the following:
