Job summary

City of Ryde is seeking an experienced Compliance Ranger to deliver regulatory and environmental enforcement services across the local community. You will respond to concerns, investigate breaches, and educate residents to ensure compliance with local and state requirements.

The role operates on a four-week rotating roster with after-hours shifts, on-call duties and a leaseback vehicle. A NSW driver licence and relevant regulatory qualifications are required, with salary in the advertised range.

Qualifications

• Completion of Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory and environmental enforcement services to ensure compliance with Local and State Government requirements.
• Respond to community concerns, investigate alleged breaches and gather evidence.
• Provide education and advice and undertake appropriate enforcement actions when required.
• Handle matters relating to illegal dumping, littering, erosion control, water pollution and related offences.
• Participate in rotating rosters and provide after-hours support as needed.
