Job summary

Complete Staff Solutions – Raymond Terrace NSW is seeking a General Duties Ranger for an ongoing full-time role with Port Stephens Council. You will handle a variety of regulatory tasks, respond to complaints, undertake patrols, and support waste investigations, with a strong emphasis on parking enforcement during peak seasons.

The position requires empathy in difficult conversations, calm under pressure, and the ability to apply local laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Control) or equivalent.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in a compliance or investigatory role.
• This position requires verification of a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (National Police Check).

Responsibilities

• Respond to animal complaints and undertake patrols.
• Support the bulky and illegal waste investigation program.
• Help residents understand their obligations under local laws.
• Enforce parking regulations with a focus during peak seasons.
