Job description

At Swyftx, we’re not just building a fintech scaleup - we’re helping shape the future of Australia’s digital currency industry and its integration with traditional finance. With over one million users and a global presence, we operate in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment where adaptability and strategic thinking are essential.

As a Compliance Analyst at Swyftx you’ll support the day-to-day activities of our Compliance team, helping the business meet its obligations while finding practical ways to improve how we work. From reviewing marketing materials to maintaining compliance registers and supporting advice requests, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of compliance activities within a collaborative and supportive team.

This role can be based at our Brisbane headquarters in Milton or our Melbourne office in Cremorne. We offer hybrid working, with two days per week in the office.

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Reviewing marketing materials and customer communications to help ensure they meet relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Supporting day-to-day compliance enquiries, working with colleagues to provide clear, practical guidance and escalating more complex matters.

  • Maintaining compliance registers, including obligations and conflicts of interest registers, and supporting licence administration.

  • Assisting with compliance monitoring and assurance activities, documenting findings and tracking follow-up actions.

  • Supporting updates to policies, procedures and compliance documentation.

  • Assisting with regulatory changes, audits and compliance initiatives by gathering information and maintaining accurate records.

  • Identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve the efficiency of the team’s day-to-day work.

To be successful you will have:

  • Ideally 2+ years’ experience in compliance within financial services, with relevant experience in risk, assurance or quality assurance also considered.

  • An understanding of Australian financial services regulation and Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) obligations.

  • Experience reviewing marketing materials or customer communications against compliance requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions, build relationships and work with people across the business.

  • A practical, risk-based approach, with the ability to consider context, exercise sound judgement and recognise when to seek guidance.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a changing environment.

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and an interest in learning, sharing ideas and improving processes.

  • Experience in compliance advisory, monitoring and assurance, or policy drafting would be highly regarded.

  • An interest in cryptocurrency and digital assets is welcome, but prior crypto experience isn’t essential.

Some of our perks and benefits include:

  • Hybrid working, with two days per week in the office.

  • Unlimited fee-free trading.

  • Career growth and formal leadership training programs.

  • Social activities, game breaks and recognition awards.

  • An inhouse barista (Brisbane) and a fully stocked kitchen.

  • Weekly catered lunches on a Wednesday.

At Swyftx, we believe great teams are built on diverse perspectives, experiences and ideas. We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where people feel supported, valued and empowered to do their best work.

We have an internal Talent Acquisition function, and therefore are not accepting approaches from recruitment agencies.
