Job summary

Optus is seeking a Complex Fraud Analyst to join the External Fraud Risk team in Sydney. You will detect, investigate and prevent fraud across customer, subscription and network domains, leveraging data analysis to identify emerging threats and strengthen controls.

You will monitor high-risk activity, prepare insights for management, and collaborate with stakeholders to remediate issues while ensuring compliance with laws and Optus policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud, risk, investigations or analytical roles.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with large datasets.
• Ability to identify trends, investigate complex issues and provide recommendations.
• Knowledge of telecommunications products and processes is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and stakeholder engagement.

As a Complex Fraud Analyst, you will play a key role in detecting, investigating, and preventing customer, subscription, and network fraud. Working within the External Fraud Risk team, you'll leverage your analytical expertise to identify emerging fraud trends, conduct complex investigations, and deliver insights that strengthen Optus' fraud risk controls and minimise fraud-related losses.
