Job summary

Interact Australia is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower clients under their NDIS plans. You will provide person-centred assistance, promote community participation, and support goal attainment in collaboration with families and care teams.

Role includes continence and personal care support, use of hoists/manual handling, and adherence to NDIS guidelines. Flexible shifts, on-site work in Queensland, and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Blue Card/Working with Children checks required
• NDIS Worker Screening and Orientation mandatory
• Strong understanding of NDIS principles and participant goals
• Ability to partner with participants and families to achieve outcomes
• Experience with continence care, SCI/ABI conditions, and assistive devices

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous support to maintain/improve client independence (community participation, skill-building, vocational prep).
• Respond to client needs and collaborate with families, support people and others.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and records of activities.
• Work in accordance with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
