Job summary

Aruma is seeking a motivated Support Worker to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, providing personalised care and tailored support to help individuals live the life they choose. You will work within a team to deliver services, promote inclusion, and support goal achievement in a values-driven organisation.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and flexibility to cover days, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

Experience in disability, aged care, or family/community services.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, sleep overs, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality support services to customers with disabilities.
Assist clients in daily living activities, such as personal care, mobility, and skill development.
Promote community integration and support clients in accessing social and recreational activities.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
Encourage independence and empower clients to achieve personal goals.
Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities.
