Catholic Healthcare in Hamlyn Terrace, NSW, is seeking Personal Care Assistants to join our team on a casual basis. Shifts include morning, afternoon, and night across the week, with a pay rate of $38.00 per hour plus super and casual loading, in a not-for-profit environment.

You will assist with personal care, support day-to-day tasks, and work with clinical staff to follow care plans, while maintaining documentation and delivering high-quality service to residents, families and the community.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in Aged Care (or equivalent) is required.
• Willingness to apply for Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Responsibilities

We are looking for Personal Care Assistants to join our team. We offer a variety of shifts including morning, afternoon, and night shifts across the week. As part of a dedicated team who work hard to create a safe, home-like environment you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing
• Supporting day-to-day tasks such as eating and social activities
• Working with clinical team members to ensure care plans are followed
• Maintaining documentation and working as part of a team to ensure our residents’ health and wellbeing are optimised

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• A reliable team player
• Understanding of workplace health and safety
• A Certificate 3 in Aged Care (or equivalent)
