Job summary

Bupa Australia is seeking a Medical Receptionist to greet patients, coordinate appointments, and connect patients with the care team when care is needed most. You will ensure the front desk runs smoothly, manage bookings, and handle payments with care and confidentiality.

In this role you’ll be the warm, professional voice patients hear, creating calm out of chaos in a fast-paced clinic environment. This full-time position is office-based in Melbourne, with benefits and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Previous GP medical receptionist experience is ideal.
• Best Practice experience is advantageous.
• Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
• Have experience in processing payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
• Coordinate appointments and connect patients with the right care team.
• Answer questions with confidence and keep the practice running smoothly.
• Handle payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries with accuracy.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organised and stocked with supplies.
