Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker in the Taree area to help older Australians stay in their own homes with dignity and independence. The role requires 3 months of experience in a similar care setting and a valid Australian driver’s licence with your own insured vehicle.

Casual positions with a pathway to permanent part-time, accredited training including CPR/First Aid, and benefits such as salary packaging are available under the award system.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or similar role preferred.
• Open Australian Driver's Licence with own insured vehicle.
• Willingness to complete CPR/First Aid and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Provide general home help: housekeeping, make beds, cleaning, laundry, meal prep.
• Provide personal care: assist with mobility, bathing, dressing, and routine activities.
• Support clients to live independently at home and maintain wellbeing.
• Transport clients to activities or appointments as needed.
• Support families by giving carers a break and coordinating care.
