Job summary

Valmar Support Services is seeking to enhance the independence and wellbeing of older clients through personalized in-home and community-based care. The role involves delivering personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, and respite under CHSP and HCP programs, within a supportive and compliant team.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care), current First Aid/CPR, and a valid Australian driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow support plans while maintaining flexibility to respond to changes in client condition or needs.
• Ability to provide domestic support, personal care, respite and social support (individual and groups) to clients with complex needs.
• Understanding and application of wellness, reablement, and restorative care principles.
• Capacity to manage physical demands of the role, including manual handling, lifting, and transferring clients safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide individually negotiated services under CHSP, HCP, Brokerage frameworks for clients in areas such as Social Support, Community Transport, Domestic Assistance, Personal Care, Respite, Garden Maintenance.
• Drive Valmar vehicles and operate machines where licensed and required.
• Promote independence through daily living skills and supportive conversation.
• Assist with medication reminders and prompts per care plan and scope of practice.
