Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT in Strathfield, NSW is seeking compassionate Casual Home Care Employees to support older people in their own homes across areas including Homebush, Concord, Burwood, Strathfield, Marrickville and surrounds. Hold a Certificate III in Aged/Individual Support or equivalent, with 12+ months in aged/home/community care, and be willing to travel regularly.

You will provide meal assistance, transport, social activities, personal care, light domestic tasks and medication

Qualifications

• Compassionate interpersonal skills and empathy with older people.
• Current driver's license and car with full comprehensive insurance.
• Willingness to travel regularly using own vehicle.
• Reliable and trustworthy with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proven Aged Care or NDIS services background.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work remotely in clients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance, including shopping, meal preparation and help with eating.
• Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments.
• Social support and activities, including outings and social activities.
• Personal care, showering and bathing, general self-care duties.
• Domestic assistance, light household cleaning.
• Medication assistance.
