Job summary

Respect in regional Australia is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our not-for-profit aged care team in Hervey Bay. You will work with Registered Nurses and care staff to provide safe, person-centred care, conduct assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation.

We value collaboration, ongoing development, and a supportive, values-led culture. A Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration and at least 2 years’ post-graduate experience in aged care are required,

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing and current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate clinical experience, preferably in aged care.
• Knowledge of residential care practices, care planning, clinical documentation, and the Commonwealth Aged Care Funding Instrument.
• Understanding of aged care accreditation processes and a commitment to providing safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain), required immunisations, and a flexible, professional approach to shift work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive admission and ongoing assessments with residents and families to identify care needs and support individualised care planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that reflects care delivery and resident outcomes.
• Administer medications safely and ensure correct handling, storage, and record-keeping.
• Monitor residents’ health, report changes promptly to Registered Nurses, and support the care team in delivering safe, person-centred care.
• Participate in team handovers, care planning discussions, and initiatives that promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents
