Job summary

Nextt is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to support a gentleman in his 60s at Caroline Springs, providing personal care and daily living routines within a home and 24/7 SIL setting.

You’ll build trust through calm, respectful communication and help the participant engage in community activities, with a focus on independence and safety. Casual and part-time shifts with inactive sleepover options are available.

Qualifications

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Experience with manual handling and medication assistance.
• Experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support with personal care and daily living routines.
• Support community participation, outings and meaningful activities.
• Encourage independence and choice at the participant’s pace.
• Maintain predictable routines and use clear, simple communication.
• Use visual prompts and allow processing time.
• Follow the Behaviour Support Plan and all relevant support plans.
• Complete progress notes and communicate with the wider team.
• Collaborate with the team to provide safe, reliable support.
