Buddies Community Access Network in Ballarat is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker (Casual) to provide person-centred support within SIL services. You will assist with daily living tasks, community participation, and transport, building trusting relationships with participants and their networks.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and flexibility, including night shifts or sleepovers, to support people with disability and complex needs in the Ballarat area.

Formación

• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Employee Working With Children Check
• Willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Smartphone

Responsabilidades

• Provide person-centred support with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Assist participants to access community, maintain social connections, and participate in activities.
• Safely transport participants to appointments, programs, and outings.
• Promote emotional wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
• Complete shift notes and incident reports accurately.
• Maintain NDIS compliance and training requirements.
• Build positive relationships with participants and support networks.
• Respond to changes in behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
• Support overnight and sleepover shifts when required.
