Queensland Government is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for the Moreton Bay region. You will assist participants with daily living, personal care, and health needs, delivering person-centred support with a trauma-informed approach.

The role includes formal induction, ongoing training, and flexible shifts within a supportive team responsible for Residential Care Services and Accommodation Support.

Qualifications

• Must commit to the full two-week induction process.
• Current provisional or open C/CA class Australian driver’s licence.
• Certificate IV in Disability Support.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• National Disability Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module or willingness to complete.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily household tasks including menu planning, cooking, cleaning, shopping and laundry.
• Assist participants with personal hygiene, grooming and safe mealtimes.
• Support with medication management, seizures and health needs as prescribed.
• Provide high-quality, person-centred support for individuals with complex needs.
• Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance wellbeing.
• Deliver trauma-informed approaches in daily care.
