Zusammenfassung

Endeavour Foundation in Mackay is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide person-centered support in our SIL home. Roles include permanent part-time and casual shifts, with a mix of day, afternoon and sleepover supports, requiring flexibility and open availability.

You will support people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, helping with daily living tasks and building essential skills while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifikationen

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Availability to work a permanent roster that may include multiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and overnight supports.
• Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Hold or be willing to obtain Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Driver’s Licence with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.

Aufgaben

• Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assisting with personal care where required to meet individual needs.
• Supporting meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection through socialising and outings.
• Providing support during daily activities such as walks, movies, or appointments.
• Helping people maintain connections to family, friends, and services.
