Job summary

Bupa Aged Care in Geelong region seeks a dedicated Cook to provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a warm, home-like environment for residents. You will bring a passion for food and a person-first approach to enhance daily life, while working as part of a supportive kitchen team.

Key duties include planning meals, meeting dietary and cultural needs, ensuring food safety and infection control, and contributing to stock management and quality assessments to sustain a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Experience in meal preparation in a similar environment.
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery preferred, but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for residents.
• Liaise with residents, families and the care team to meet dietary and cultural needs.
• Support efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services.
• Comply with infection control and food safety procedures.
• Perform stock taking and food quality assessments.
