Job summary

Bupa Ashbury is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals in a home-like environment, focusing on residents’ dietary needs and preferences. You will collaborate with residents, families and the care team to ensure meals meet individual and cultural requirements.

Ideal candidates have previous meal prep experience in care settings, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in meal preparation in a similar care environment.
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for residents.
• Liaise with residents, families and care team to meet dietary, individual and cultural needs.
• Support efficient kitchen and catering operations.
• Comply with infection control and food safety procedures.
• Perform stock taking and food quality assessments.
