Job summary

BlueCare in Morayfield is seeking a Personal Carer to provide in-home community care, supporting clients’ independence and quality of life. You’ll spend time on the road completing scheduled visits, engaging one-on-one with clients in their homes, and assisting with daily living tasks.

Ideal applicants hold a Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent, have a current Australian driver’s licence and a roadworthy insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential.
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work - Essential.
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to clients living in the community, supporting independence and quality of life.
• Spend time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes.
• In home personal care including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Provide care in accordance with individualised Care Plan.
• Support with community-based recreational and social activities.
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
