Job summary

McLean Care is seeking Expressions of Interest for Care Services Employees to join our Residential Aged Care team in Gunnedah, NSW. This casual role offers morning, afternoon and overnight shifts with a starting hourly rate of $35.13 plus penalties and superannuation.

You will support residents with daily living needs, promote independence and dignity, and work closely with nurses to deliver quality outcomes in a compassionate home environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Previous experience in residential aged care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical capability to safely perform manual handling duties
• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
• Two recent managerial referees
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons and nights

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Supporting residents at mealtimes and helping provide a dignified dining experience
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health, wellbeing or behaviour
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and positioning
• Maintaining safety, hygiene and infection control standards
• Working closely with nurses and the broader care team to support quality outcomes. Providing companionship, reassurance and respectful person-centred care
